LaLiga Santander, formerly known as Primera DivisiĂłn, is officially named National Championship of the First Division League. It is the maximum male category of the Spanish league system and the main competition of sports clubs in Spain. Its beginning dates back to the 1928-1929 season and was only interrupted during the Spanish Civil War. It is celebrated annually, normally between the months of September and May. It is considered the best football league in the world. The top 5 teams with the most titles are: Real Madrid with 33, FC Barcelona with 26, AtlĂ©tico de Madrid with 10, Athletic de Bilbao with 8 and Valencia Club de FĂștbol with 6.

RULES OF COMPETITION

The competition consists of 20 teams that face each other and cross twice, once in their own field and once in the opposing team's field. In total there are 38 days with 19 soccer matches per day divided into round trips. The matches of each day are drawn before the start of the competition. The competition wins the most points accumulate. In case there is a tie, it is broken by greater difference of goals in the matches between the tied ones. If another draw occurs again, the winner with the greatest difference of goals for and against the entire championship wins. And if the tie continues, the club that has scored the most goals in the entire competition wins. The victory adds 3 points for the winner. The tie adds 1 point for each team. And the defeat does not add points.
